At Hocking Hills Working Dogs, our training philosophy is grounded in Purpose, Passion, and Performance. Our training culture is one where K9s are treated like the high-level athletes they are—proactively protected, thoughtfully recovered, and set up for long-term success in the field.

We develop, restore, and condition dogs to work with confidence, drive, and clarity. By combining proven training methods with tailored conditioning and recovery programs, we bring out each dog’s full potential. Most importantly, we help strengthen the partnership between dogs and their handlers, building a bond that is both dependable and lasting.

JOSH OSTING + PAIGE RUDOLPH

At the heart of Hocking Hills Working Dogs are two people who live the life they teach. Josh + Paige built their programs, driven by a shared passion for developing and supporting dogs who work and live with purpose.

Josh is a Certified Protection Sport Association (PSA) Decoy and Master Trainer from the Tarheel Canine School for Dog Trainers. Known for his ability to read dogs and unlock their full potential, Josh has spent years on the trial field, consistently testing himself and the dogs he works with, under real pressure. His dedication is reflected in the success of his dog, Sir Henry, who has earned his PDC, PSA 1, PSA 2, Decoys Choice Dog, and is now competing at the highest level of the sport in PSA 3. And also in the dogs he works with in his various PSA clubs. Josh has received Handler’s Choice Decoy, highlighting his decoy skills, reliability, and the respect he’s earned within the working dog community. His experience and technical insight shape the protection programs at Hocking Hills Working Dogs, where he develops strong, capable canine teams built on clarity and purpose.

Paige is currently enrolled in the Northeast K9 Conditioning Elite K9 Athlete Program. Upon completion in 2026, she will be a Certified Canine Athlete Specialist. She has also completed NePoPo® Silver and Gold Schools and brings structure, creativity, and purposeful play to shaping each dog’s foundational skills. Paige is also a dedicated trainer and PSA competitor with a passion for canine performance, conditioning, and wellness. Her dog, Cheerio, has earned his PDC (Oct 2024) and PSA 1 title (Apr 2025), taking home High Obedience, High in Trial, High Protection, and High Club Trained, and later placing 2nd and earning Decoys Choice Dog in June.

Together, Josh + Paige build dogs that perform, recover quicker from training sessions and injuries, and help cultivate handlers who lead with purpose. Every lesson, every bite, every breakthrough comes from hands-on experience and a commitment to doing and living the work.
